US President Joe Biden, who left India for his visit to Vietnam, commented on the summit in his statement on the X social media platform.

Biden made the following statements:

“At a time when the global economy is suffering from cascading shocks such as climate crisis, fragility and conflict, this year’s G20 Summit has proven that it can still deliver solutions to our most pressing problems.”

Meanwhile, at the closing session of the G20 Summit, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed the presidential gavel to Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. Accordingly, the G20 term presidency was transferred to Brazil.

The G20 term presidency, which Brazil will assume as of December 1, will pass to South Africa in 2025 and to the USA in 2026.

During its 2024 term presidency, Brazil will prioritize poverty, sustainable development, and reform in global organizations such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
