Boris Johnson’s Brother Resigns from Binance Subsidiary

-

Boris Johnson’s brother, Joseph Edmund Johnson, has resigned from his position at Binance’s subsidiary, Bifinity.

According to the Telegraph report, Edmund Johnson, the brother of the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, has left his job as an adviser.

Boris Johnson’s Brother Leaves Bifinity

Joseph Johnson was a consultant to Binance-based payment technology company Bifinity, which was founded in March of this year. Johnson, who has been in this position since September, resigned, citing Binance’s increased demands for transparency, according to the report.

UK regulators banned Binance from providing financial services in June of this year. The FCA, the country’s financial watchdog, said the exchange does not have the authority to operate regulated services in the UK. Binance launched last November to obtain a regulatory license.

However, Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance exchange, defended the company’s finances, stating that the company has “assets to be converted” and they have no loans or debts.
